Well worth reading. Well-written and very enjoyable. The protagonist is young and makes mistakes. She learns and grows.
A space exploration first contact story that incorporates various different groups of aliens and their interactions among them. Along the way they pick up a young human female who has never been off her planet and has not yet graduated from school as a trainee and an adult female who has suffered memory loss. With a bit of mystery, a bit of fighting, and many difficult interactions in it I am happy to recommend it.

The book wasn't really bad but it was a long way from being good. I found myself skim reading just to get it over with.
Great story and well written. Plot moves rapidly with many twists. Characters are definitely well developed and 3 dimensioned
